Funding

Scholarships

Aston University offers a range of international scholarships for both undergraduate and postgraduate students. Undergraduate scholarships include the International Community Scholarship (£9,000 total tuition fee discount) and the Sir Adrian Cadbury Chancellor's Scholarship (£10,000 fee reduction). Postgraduate scholarships include the International Community Scholarship (£4,000 tuition fee discount for those who pay their deposit by the offer acceptance deadline) and the Sir Adrian Cadbury Chancellor’s Scholarship (£10,000 fee reduction). Scholarships are competitive, application-based, and open to self-funded international offer-holders. Students cannot combine scholarships and will be awarded the highest value available to them.

Undergraduate International Community Scholarship

  • Coverage: £9,000 total tuition fee discount (£5,000 in Year 1, £2,000 in Year 2, £2,000 in Year 3)
  • Eligibility: Open to self-funded international undergraduate offer-holders for direct entry to Year 1. Excludes BSc Nursing Studies, MBChB Medicine, MOptom Optometry, MPharm Pharmacy, BSc Healthcare Science (Audiology).
  • How to apply: Application link emailed directly to eligible undergraduate international offer-holders. Requires submission of an application form.
  • Deadline: Final application round: Sunday 5th July 2026 (midnight UK time)

Sir Adrian Cadbury Chancellor's Scholarship (Undergraduate)

  • Coverage: £10,000 fee reduction
  • Eligibility: Open to self-funded international undergraduate offer-holders for direct entry to Year 1. Excludes BSc Nursing Studies, MBChB Medicine, MOptom Optometry, MPharm Pharmacy, BSc Healthcare Science (Audiology).
  • How to apply: Personal application link emailed after receiving an offer. Requires submission of an application form and a 500-word statement explaining how the applicant will make a difference and use their degree to help communities.
  • Deadline: Sunday 21st June 2026 (midnight UK time)

International Community Scholarship (Postgraduate)

  • Coverage: £4,000 tuition fee discount
  • Eligibility: Available to all international applicants who pay their deposit by the offer acceptance deadline. Excludes MBA, PGDIP/MSc in Overseas Pharmacy Assessment Programme, MSc in Physician Associate Practice, MRes programmes, and any postgraduate research degree.
  • How to apply: Automatically applied upon payment of deposit by the deadline; no application required.

Sir Adrian Cadbury Chancellor’s Scholarship (Postgraduate)

  • Coverage: £10,000 fee reduction
  • Eligibility: International offer holders (excludes MRes, MBA, OS...). Applicants must want to make a difference and use their degree to help communities around the world.
  • How to apply: Requires submission of an application form and a short statement.
