International Islamic University Malaysia

Scholarships for international students are provided by third parties including the Embassy of Libya, Royal Embassy of Saudi Arabia, Ministry of Education Maldives, Malaysian International Scholarship (MIS)-MOHE, Yayasan Khazanah, Embassy of Islamic Rep. of Afghanistan, Al-Muntada Al-Islami, Ministry of National Education Turkey, Jabatan Pengajian Islam Brunei, Hadhramout Establishment for Human Development, Islamic Development Bank (IDB), Ministry of Higher Education Qatar, Ministry of Higher Education Afghanistan, Personnel Management Office Republic of Gambia, and others. The university also offers internal financial assistance such as the IIUM Tuition Fee Reduction (50% subsidized) for poor, needy, and deserving international undergraduate students, and the Malaysian Tuition Fee Rate for Palestinian students from conflict areas. Additionally, the IIUM Undergraduate Ummatic Scholarship covers tuition, related fees, hostel fees, a monthly allowance of RM400, book allowance of RM250 per semester, and insurance of RM400 once only for eligible students.

Malaysian International Scholarship (MIS)

• Coverage: Tuition fees, monthly living allowance, one-time airfare allowance, one-time settling-in allowance
• Eligibility: Students from eligible countries pursuing postgraduate and post-doctoral studies in Malaysia

Islamic Development Bank (IDB) Scholarship

• Eligibility: International students

IIUM Undergraduate Ummatic Scholarship

• Coverage: Tuition fee, related fee, hostel fee, monthly allowance (RM400.00 per month), book allowance (RM250.00 per semester), insurance (RM400.00 once only)
• Eligibility: Full-time undergraduate, second-year or above, CGPA 3.60+ (or 3.00 for Muslim minority countries), poor/needy as identified by university, no other scholarship

IIUM Tuition Fee Reduction

• Coverage: 50% subsidized tuition fee
• Eligibility: International full-time undergraduate, second-year or above, CGPA 3.0+, poor/needy as identified by university, no other scholarship

Malaysian Tuition Fee Rate (for Palestinian students)

• Coverage: Tuition fee charged at same rate as Malaysian students
• Eligibility: Full-time Palestinian undergraduate or postgraduate from Gaza or conflict area, first-semester or above, needy, no other scholarship, only once per student
