About Jönköping University

Jönköping University is a young, professional-oriented university established in 1977, characterized by high internationalization, an entrepreneurial spirit, and extensive collaboration with society. It is one of three Swedish private, non-profit institutions with the right to award doctorates. The university comprises four schools: the School of Health and Welfare, School of Education and Communication, School of Engineering, and Jönköping International Business School (JIBS). JIBS holds triple accreditation from EQUIS, AACSB, and AMBA. Located in Jönköping, Sweden, the university serves around 16,000 students from over 100 countries and maintains partnerships with more than 320 universities worldwide. Jönköping was named Student City of the Year 2026 by the Swedish National Union of Students.

Scholarships

Jönköping University offers a number of scholarships to bachelor and master students.
