Shandong University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, founded in 1958, is the only independent medical university in Shandong Province and a nationally recognized, preeminent institution for traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), rated excellent in the Ministry of Education’s undergraduate evaluation and designated among Shandong’s “five preeminent featured universities.” With a strong tradition guided by the motto of cultivating virtue, extensive learning, and persistent practice, the university has developed distinctive strengths in TCM education, clinical practice, and innovation, leading the province in state key disciplines, graduate and doctoral programs, postdoctoral research, and major national research initiatives. Located on a modern 122-hectare campus in Jinan’s Changqing District, SDUTCM comprises 14 colleges, extensive affiliated hospital networks, advanced teaching and research platforms, and comprehensive academic offerings across medicine, science, engineering, management, and humanities, enrolling nearly 21,000 students.
