Xi'an Jiaotong-Liverpool University

Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University (XJTLU) is an international joint-venture university founded by Xi’an Jiaotong University in China and the University of Liverpool in the UK. As a Sino-foreign cooperative university, it captures the essence of both parent universities and is the largest of its kind approved by China’s Ministry of Education.

World-class programmes

The University offers more than 100 degree programmes in the fields of science, engineering, business, finance, architecture, urban planning, language, and culture. All programmes are taught in English. Upon successful completion of the programme, undergraduate students will earn two degrees – an XJTLU degree from China’s Ministry of Education, and a globally recognised degree from the University of Liverpool. Postgraduate students will receive a degree from the University of Liverpool, which is recognised by China’s Ministry of Education. All departments at XJTLU offer PhD programmes, which fulfils XJTLU’s vision to be a research-led international university in China and a Chinese university recognised internationally for its unique features.

Entry scholarship of up to 50 percent of the tuition fee per year for international and Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan undergraduate students, based on academic excellence.

Your indication of interest during the online programme application process and filling in the ‘XJTLU Entry Scholarship’ section are required to be considered for this scholarship. Entry scholarships are renewable annually subject to continued strong academic performance.

The panel that makes decisions on entry scholarship awards meets at various times throughout the year and you are encouraged to apply early for admission to XJTLU undergraduate programmes to ensure availability of scholarship opportunities.

The entry scholarship is also available for Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan students who apply through the governmental online application system. No additional application is needed.
