Xi’an University of Architecture and Technology

The university has been approved by the State Council to establish a Graduate School. Currently, the Graduate School offers 29 doctoral programs, 66 master’s programs, and operates 4 post-doctoral research stations. It also hosts 3 national key disciplines and 16 provincial key disciplines.

Among the 29 doctoral programs, four have been recognized as national key disciplines, namely Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Management Engineering, and Architecture. The four post-doctoral research stations are in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, and Materials Science.

1. XATU New-Coming Scholarship

Overview:

• Offered by Xi’an Technological University (XATU) to new international students.

• Designed to help students with excellent academic potential and financial difficulties pursue studies in China.

• Automatically granted once the student completes registration in the first year.

Eligibility:

• Open to all new international students enrolling for the first time at XATU.

Award:

• Scholarship is automatically awarded based on the type and category determined after registration.

2. Xi’an ‘Belt & Road’ Scholarship

Overview:

• Established by the Xi’an Municipal Government and hosted by XATU.

• Aims to attract talented students from countries along the “One Belt & One Road” initiative.

• Supports international students with outstanding academic performance and financial need.

Eligibility:

• Open to students from Belt & Road countries who wish to study in Xi’an.

• Scholarship Amounts:

• Bachelor’s degree program: 15,000 CNY

• Master’s degree program: 20,000 CNY

• Doctoral degree program: 25,000 CNY

3. XATU Outstanding Academic Scholarship

Overview:

• A highly competitive award for current (on-campus) international students.

• Granted based on academic performance each academic year.

• Full rules and evaluation criteria are managed by the School of International Education.

Bachelor’s Degree Awards:

• First-class: 100% tuition waiver

• Second-class: 50% tuition waiver

• Third-class: 30% tuition waiver

Master’s Degree Awards:

• First-class: 100% tuition and accommodation fee coverage, plus a stipend of 11,000 CNY

• Second-class: 100% tuition and accommodation fee coverage, plus a stipend of 10,000 CNY

• Third-class: 100% tuition and accommodation fee coverage, plus a stipend of 8,000 CNY

• Fourth-class: 100% tuition and accommodation fee coverage

Doctoral Degree Awards:

• First-class: 100% tuition and accommodation fee coverage, plus a stipend of 25,000 CNY

• Second-class: 100% tuition and accommodation fee coverage, plus a stipend of 20,000 CNY

4. XATU Scholarship for Foreign Students (Additional Category)

Bachelor’s Degree:

• 50% tuition fee and 50% accommodation fee coverage for the first year

Master’s Degree:

• 100% tuition and accommodation fee coverage for the first year

Additional stipend: 11,000 CNY

Doctoral Degree:

• 100% tuition and accommodation fee coverage for the first year

Additional stipend: 25,000 CNY
