Zhejiang International Studies University

Zhejiang International Studies University is a public, provincially administered undergraduate university located in Hangzhou, the capital of Zhejiang Province, renowned as a global tourist city. With foreign languages and literature as its core strength, the university supports coordinated development across disciplines including literature, economics, management, education, science, and the arts, and is distinguished by its focus on cultivating internationally oriented, application-focused talent. Originating from the Zhejiang Institute of Education founded in 1955, the university began undergraduate education in 1994 and was officially renamed in 2010 with approval from China’s Ministry of Education. Scholarship Coverage

1. Full Scholarship for New Students

• Full waiver of tuition, accommodation, registration, and textbook fees for the first academic year

• One round-trip airfare reimbursement (up to RMB 8,000)

• Visa and insurance fees are borne by the student

• Award quota: 5% of eligible new degree students

2. Tuition Reduction Scholarship for New Students

• First Class: 100% tuition waiver (one academic year)

• Second Class: 50% tuition waiver (one academic year)

• Third Class: 25% tuition waiver (one academic year)

3. Outstanding Student Scholarship

Degree-seeking students

• First Class: RMB 8,000 / year

• Second Class: RMB 5,000 / year

• Third Class: RMB 2,000 / year

Non-degree-seeking students

• First Class: RMB 1,500 / semester

• Second Class: RMB 1,000 / semester

• Third Class: RMB 800 / semester
